This post contains important information about the media contained on this website.

All MP3’s on are created by extracting the raw stream from the original DVB-T broadcast. This audio stream is then chopped into song-length pieces, processed through several different applications and eventually encoded at VBR 320kbp/s using the LAME encoder for the best quality audio.

The MP3’s are ready for playback on your computer or for transfer to a portable media device. As most recent computers support the MP3 codec, you should not come into trouble playing back these audio files.

Videos, like the audio files, are encoded by extracting the raw video and audio stream from the original DVB-T broadcast. These streams are separated, trimmed and marked, and encoded back together to form a standard AVI file using the XviD codec. In order to play these videos you will need to have the XviD codec installed on your computer, which can be found here: http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/.

If you’re having trouble playing the videos (ie. audio but black screen), try re-installing the codec. This will often fix most problems. Behind Idol also recommends the use of VLC Media Player for video playback.

Behind Idol does not claim to hold copyright over any of the media stored on its servers. The media is provided as-is and is intended for private use only.
